Chaxy’s prediction on the city's next governor come 2027 and why

Celebrated podcaster and a third of Mic cheque podcast, thee “Lord” Chaxy, has come under fire from netizens after his prediction on who will be Nairobi's next governor in the next elections. Speaking on Obinna show live, Chaxy maintained that the incumbent governor, Johnson Sakaja, would more than likely retain his seat at the pinnacle of Nairobi’s politics. In a controversial statement, the podcaster reiterated that he expected the ruling party UDA and former opposition party cum “experts” providers ODM, would come together to form a coalition for the 2027 general election and he expects the governor might seek re-election with ODM, giving him a stronger chance of re-election. Netizens however dismissed his prediction with some showing their solidarity with Embakasi East member of parliament Babu Owino, who is also said to be eyeing the seat. Alot remains to be seen as Babu Owino remains an ODM party member but has previously stated that he would run for the position of governor for Nairobi, with or without ODM’s backing.
